MES College of Engineering, commonly known as MES Kuttipuram, established as an institution with minority status in 1994, is the first self-financing engineering college in the state of Kerala. The college is managed by the Muslim Educational Society, one of major educational organisations in India. It is considered as one of the top engineering institute in the state. The college, located along the banks of the Bharathapuzha River near Kuttippuram town in the Malappuram district, is currently one of the largest engineering colleges in Kerala. It is ISO 9001:2000 certified and is affiliated to the University of Calicut. The college was selected under the scheme of TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) by Govt of India in the year 2004.
